     Jeffrey J. Thurston, Director, Office of Transportation
Audits, General Services Administration, Washington, DC, appearing
for General Services Administration.

     Col. David A. Shull, Staff Judge Advocate, Headquarters,
Military Traffic Management Command, Department of the Army, Falls
Church, VA, appearing for Department of Defense.

GOODMAN, Board Judge.

     C.I. Whitten Transfer Co. (C.I. Whitten) filed its claim with
the Board on October 21, 1996, seeking reimbursement of costs
incurred for the shipment of freight for the Department of the Army
from Crane, Indiana to Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

     On April 14, 1997, the GSA Office of Transportation Audits
issued a settlement certificate allowing C.I. Whitten's claim for
$258.63.  On April 22, 1997, C.I. Whitten filed a request for
dismissal of its claim.

     Accordingly, the claim is dismissed.
