     Col. David A. Shull, Staff Judge Advocate, Headquarters,
Military Traffic Management Command, Department of the Army, Falls
Church, VA, appearing for Department of Defense.

     On October 21, 1996, C. I. Whitten Transfer Co. requested a
review of the General Services Administration s denial of its claim 
for an additional payment of $138.75 for transportation charges in
connection with the shipment of freight from Yorktown, Virginia to
Cape May, New Jersey.

     The Office of Transportation Audits notified the Board on
March 26, 1997, that it had issued a certificate of settlement in
this claim.  C. I. Whitten filed a motion to dismiss its claim on
April 22, 1997, stating that the referenced claim has been paid.

     Accordingly, the claim is dismissed.
