       By  letter dated  May 17,  2001, the  Board was  advised that
   appellant  had entered  into  a  settlement  agreement  with  the
   contracting officer, and, therefore, was  rescinding this appeal.
   Respondent has advised the Board that  it has no objection to our
   dismissal of this appeal.
 
       Accordingly, this appeal is DISMISSED.  Rule 128(a),
