Board of Contract Appeals General Services Administration Washington, D.C. 20405 DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE: July 24, 2001 GSBCA 15546 SPRINT COMMUNICATIONS CO., L.P., Appellant, v. GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION, Respondent. George J. Affe of Sprint Communications Co., L.P., Herndon, VA, counsel for Appellant. Robert T. Hoff, Office of General Counsel, General Services Administration, Washington, DC, counsel for Respondent. DANIELS, Board Judge (Chairman). ORDER A General Services Administration (GSA) contracting officer granted in part a claim by Sprint Communications Co., L.P. (Sprint), for payment for telephone services provided by the contractor. The claim was in the amount of $6,489,815.03 plus interest. The contracting officer paid the principal amount claimed, but refused to pay interest on the ground that Sprint had failed to submit proper invoices and had thereby forced GSA employees to prepare billing information. Sprint appealed the decision. After the appeal was filed, the parties began settlement discussions. Three months later, Sprint informed the Board that the parties had reached a settlement and moved us to dismiss the appeal with prejudice. The motion is granted. The appeal is DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE. _________________________ STEPHEN M. DANIELS Board Judge
