                                   ORDER

     On April 15, 1997, Bob Sanborn appealed the final decision of
a General Services Administration (GSA) contracting officer denying
his request to cancel the liquidated damages assessed to him by GSA
for his failure to pay for a surplus government vehicle that he was
awarded at a sealed bid sale, sale number 97-10, item 97.

     By letter of May 10, 1997, Mr. Sanborn informed the Board that
he had paid this claim.  Respondent has no objection to dismissing
the appeal.

     Accordingly, this appeal is DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE.

48 CFR 6101.28(a)).
